Μαύρισμα

Δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί όλοι θέλουν να μαυρίζουν. Άλλοι μένουν στον ήλιο το καλοκαίρι, άλλοι κάνουν σολάριουμ, και άλλοι αγοράζουν κρέμες για μαύρισμα. Εγώ δε μαυρίζω εύκολα. Μένω άσπρη σχεδόν όλο το χρόνο, και ζω ακόμα. Σίγουρα, το μαύρισμα συχνά είναι κάτι όμορφο και εξωτικό. Αλλά όχι πάντα. Καμιά φορά, το πολύ σολάριουμ, δεν είναι καλή ιδέα.

Επίσης, το μαύρισμα είναι εξωτικό μόνο όταν ένας άνθρωπος είναι άσπρος από τη φύση του. Αν είσαι από την Αφρική, τη Νότια Αμερική ή τη Νότια Ασία, είναι πιο συχνό να έχεις καφέ ή μαύρο δέρμα. Ίσως εκεί είναι εξωτικό το άσπρισμα, και θέλουν να ασπρίζουν το χειμώνα, αντί να μαυρίζουν το καλοκαίρι, ποιος ξέρει. Κάθε άνθρωπος θέλει αυτό που δεν έχει.

Tanning

I don’t understand why everyone wants to get tanned. Some stay in the sun in the summer, others go to the solarium, and others buy tanning creams. I don’t get tanned easily. I stay white nearly all year round, and I’m still alive. Certainly, a suntan is often something beautiful and exotic. But not always. Sometimes, too much solarium is not a good idea.

Also, tanning is exotic only when a person is naturally white. If you’re from Africa, South America or South Asia, it’s more common to have brown or black skin. Perhaps there it’s bleaching that is exotic, and they want to get white in the winter, instead of getting brown in the summer, who knows. Every person wants what they don’t have.
