Όταν αρχίζει να βρέχει, πάντα σκέφτομαι την πόλη μου στην Ελλάδα. Εκεί συνήθως βρέχει πολύ, γιατί ο αέρας από τη θάλασσα σταματάει πάνω στα βουνά, και έτσι έχουμε συχνά σύννεφα. Ή ίσως όχι, δεν είμαι καλή στη μετεωρολογία. Δε χιονίζει σχεδόν ποτέ, και όταν χιονίζει – κάθε 20 χρόνια –, το χιόνι είναι πολύ λίγο. Όμως, πολύ συχνά έχει υγρασία, όλο το χρόνο, ειδικά το χειμώνα. Το πρωί, βλέπεις νερό πάνω στα αυτοκίνητα, όμως δεν είναι από τη βροχή αλλά από την υγρασία. Θυμάμαι μια φορά, όταν ήταν Χριστούγεννα, είχαμε δύο βδομάδες με βροχή, δηλαδή, για 15 μέρες είχαμε βροχή κάθε μέρα. Η πόλη μου δεν είναι το καλύτερο μέρος αν έχεις αρθρίτιδα.

Preveza

When it starts to rain, I always think about my town in Greece. It usually rains a lot there, because the wind from the sea stops on the mountains, and this way we often have clouds. Or maybe not, I’m not good at meteorology. It almost never snows, and when it snows – every 20 years –, the snow is very little. However, it’s very often humid, all year round, especially in the winter. In the morning, you can see water on the cars, but it’s not because of the rain, but because of the humidity. I remember once, when it was Christmas, we had two weeks of rain, that is, for 15 days we had rain every day. My town isn’t the best place if you’ve got arthritis.
